Natural convection is intensively explored, especially in a valley-shaped trapezoidal enclosure, because of its broad presence both technical settings and nature. This study deals with cavity, which initially filled linearly stratified air. Although the sidewalls remain adiabatic, bottom wall heated, top cooled. For fluid (air), temperature adjacent to walls same as that walls. cavity simulated two dimensions using numerical simulations, by varying Rayleigh numbers (Ra) from 100 108 constant Prandtl number, Pr = 0.71, aspect ratio, A 0.5. The results demonstrate development natural beginning dependent on numbers. According results, transient flow within enclosure owing predefined conditions for boundary may be categorized into three distinct stages: early, transitional, steady or unsteady. characteristics at each phases impact number flow’s growth are quantified. Unsteady flows described validated results. In addition, heat transfer through surfaces this study.
